Working in a dynamic and supportive team led by Angela Kiwanuka, Head of Infrastructure Grants Transactions and Duncan Innes, Assistant Director, Infrastructure Grants Transactions, you will play a critical role in developing our pipeline of projects and managing the contracting process with grant recipients across the country. You will be part of our experienced Infrastructure Funding team, headed by Pauline Schaffer, that is committed to making a positive impact by funding infrastructure delivery to unlock new homes and support growth and regeneration.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meeting housing need by unlocking homes through funding important infrastructure projects in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a multi-skilled professional team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective progression of projects through approval stages and agreeing grant funding agreements with partner organisations.
Angela, Duncan and the wider Infrastructure Grants Transactions team are dedicated to delivering a considered and measured approach to projects, applying innovation and creativity to infrastructure grant issues. The team values diversity in experience and perspective and working in a collaborative/flexible way, to foster good decision making and problem solving.
The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic development and regeneration projects around England. There are some ambitious projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the infrastructure grant offering.
We are looking for someone to join our team who understands and is passionate about delivery of key infrastructure to support development and regeneration and is used to working in a fast-paced environment.
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders and partners, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You will be comfortable traveling and supporting the development of a pipeline of projects, analysing development proposals, working in close collaboration with other departments within Homes England and externally, managing preparation of business cases and approvals and contracting grant opportunities.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an Infrastructure Grants Transactions team. You will enjoy working across the Agency, be innovative, creative, fun and engaging and be able to negotiate and execute transactions.
As an experienced Economic Development, Regeneration, Surveying, Planning or similar professional, with experience of development, financial viability appraisals, project cashflows, cost analysis and deliverability, you will understand how to collaborate with colleagues and be able to demonstrate that you can work with partner organisations in a collaborative and inclusive way.

Homes England : The Housing and Regeneration Agency
We believe that affordable, quality homes in well-designed places are key to improving people’s lives. As the government’s housing and regeneration agency, we create thriving new places and transform urban areas, combining the full breadth of our powers, expertise, land, capital and influence to bring investment to communities and get more homes built.
How? We form long-term partnerships that bridge the gap between the public and private sector to meet local needs and aspirations. We use our influence to champion the creation of sustainable homes, communities and places that are brilliantly designed for the people that live there now, and in the future. And we use our funding and support to build a more resilient, diverse and innovative housing sector, helping new entrants in the market, encouraging modern methods of construction and design, and promoting the utmost attention to building safety.
Together with our partners, we’re accelerating the pace of house building, remediation and regeneration across the country, as we seek to deliver ever more affordable homes in places people are proud to call home for generations to come.
