Working in a team with Martin Howard, Head of Valuation and Appraisals, the Senior Manager – Valuation and Appraisals will play a critical role in providing specialist technical advice to colleagues working to deliver housing and regeneration projects across England. You will be joining our small but highly skilled team, who are committed to making positive change in how valuation and appraisal work is undertaken as part of the delivery process.
As part of the agency’s wider Technical Services offer, the team strives to deliver commercial outcomes and takes an innovative and creative approach to resolving issues. Martin believes in working in a collaborative/flexible way foster good decision making and problem solving within the team.
This is a rare chance to shape the future of valuation and appraisal activity in an influential, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders as part of a professional team you will ensure efficient, consistent, and effective resolution of valuation and appraisal related queries and will have the opportunity to help create new tools to support delivery.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the design and delivery of key strategic projects across England and to play a leading role in managing the annual asset valuations for our c£1.5bn portfolio of development land. There are some ambitious projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the Homes England offering.
The team also supports Homes England community of Surveying professionals in sharing best practice and fostering relationships with industry bodies such as the RICS and the Government Property Profession.
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class service to colleagues and wider stakeholders delivering projects, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You'll be comfortable supporting the Head of Valuation and Appraisals with complex issues, aiming to devise solutions that secure delivery whilst maintaining value for money. You will be proficient in development word
