A bit about the role...

Working in a team led by Dora Dukes, the Business Oversight Manager will play a critical role working with our wider leadership team to ensure strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and financial oversight within the Help to Buy, Legacy & SCHU programmes. You will join our small but enthusiastic new team, committed to driving positive change and delivering our strategic objectives cohesively, as one unified team.

Dora is dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service by taking an innovative and creative approach to working together as a wider team. Dora believes in working in a collaborative and flexible manner and values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving.

This is a rare chance to shape the future in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional Portfolio Management & Customer Centricity team, you will contribute to driving business performance, enhancing financial forecasting, and strengthening governance practices.

There are some exciting projects to get involved in, and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day-to-day delivery with introducing innovative solutions to the team.

A bit about you…

Whilst our primary focus is to deliver first class customer service to Help to Buy, Legacy & SCHU customers and our wider stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You'll be comfortable collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to support the Help to Buy, Legacy & SCHU programmes. You will play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager and wider Leadership Team with the establishment and embedding of business oversight ways of working and processes, helping to drive operational efficiency, robust financial management and strategic alignment.

Whether your background is in project management, stakeholder management, finance, business operations, or a related field, you'll bring your unique perspective to contribute the successful running of the Business Oversight team. We're looking for someone who can confidently support our Business Oversight goals, but we're equally excited to help you grow and develop in these areas.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to distil a lot of information into salient points to contribute to strategic oversight and decision making.

We use our influence to champion the creation of sustainable homes, communities and places that are brilliantly designed for the people that live there now, and in the future. And we use our funding and support to build a more resilient, diverse and innovative housing sector, helping new entrants in the market, encouraging modern methods of construction and design, and promoting the utmost attention to building safety.

Together with our partners, we’re accelerating the pace of house building, remediation and regeneration across the country, as we seek to deliver ever more affordable homes in places people are proud to call home for generations to come.
