Working in a team with Alexandra Lockey, our Senior Manager in the Programme Management team and one other Manager, the Programme Manager post will play a critical role in supporting delivery, oversight and technical support of the Agency’s Affordable Homes Programmes as part of the Affordable Housing Grants team. You will be joining our small and friendly team, which sits right at the heart of Homes England’s Affordable Housing delivery, who are committed to providing widespread programme delivery support whilst making positive change in how affordable homes are delivered.

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders in supporting Affordable Housing programme delivery and managing all associated risks, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You'll be comfortable supporting the Affordable Housing Grants team with complex risk, programme management and technical issues, providing technical advice and expertise to manage problems with an aim to progress through to resolution whilst ensuring programmes are compliant, delivered on time and to budget. You will be able to confidently work on your own but also demonstrate effective team working in a collaborative, inclusive way that leads to positive outcomes.
You will be experienced in producing reports and briefings to a high standard for senior leaders at Homes England and MHCLG which will inform programme management strategy linked to budgets and delivery forecasts.
You’ll be comfortable in undertaking secretariat functions for monthly programme delivery meetings with senior leaders in both Homes England and key external stakeholder organisations. You will be organised and proficient in taking high quality minutes to ensure meetings run smoothly and crucial programme management conversations and decisions are recorded accurately and in accordance with audit requirements.
