Delivering the programme with support from Andrew Lawrence, Director of Portfolio Management and Customer Centricity, the post holder will be responsible for a defined set of interdependent projects and the associated business change activities within Help to Buy. They will have primary responsibility for successful delivery of the Transformation programme, including: the establishment of appropriate governance that fully integrates with organisational governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues, and ensuring business readiness for change.
The post-holder will set priorities for the team, showing leadership in order to ensure the programme vision is reflected in the delivery plan. The role will be suitable to an individual who is an experienced leader within Project Delivery and has successfully managed a variety of change programmes within Government.
You will be an integral part of the Help to Buy team and will contribute positively to the Agency in accordance with our values and behaviours, and the behavioural competencies of the Government Project Delivery Profession.
You will be an experienced programme / project professional, having delivered a number of complex change programmes.
Must hold a recognised P3M practitioner certification i.e. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), APM Chartered Project Professional (desirable).
Be able to demonstrate considerable depth and breadth of experience in leading and delivering business change programmes in the public sector.
This is a key Project Delivery leadership role, where you will align your ways of working to the Government Project Delivery Function, using the Government Functional Standard for Project Delivery (002) and IPA Project Delivery Toolkit as your benchmark for success. You will also champion the Project Delivery profession across the organisation and ensuring successful delivery of the programme’s strategic objectives.
Be experienced in leading, establishing and adhering to governance frameworks for change programmes, including defining roles and responsibilities, accountabilities, controls, and approval routes appropriate to each stage of a programme / project to monitor progress and compliance.
