A bit about the role...  

Working in a team with our hiring manager Assistant Director Legal, Equity and Joint Ventures, the Head of Legal, Equity and Joint Ventures will play a critical role in delivering and managing the provision of an innovative, proactive, professional legal service to the Homes and Communities Agency.

You will be joining our small but highly skilled and experienced General Counsel team.   Homes England’s General Counsel Office (GCO) team is dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service in leading and managing equity finance and joint venture transactions, fund investments and lending frameworks.

Homes England believes in working in a collaborative way and values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within his team.   This is a rare chance to work with key stakeholders at the Homes England and a professional GCO team.

The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects around England. This is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day management of legal risks whilst bringing innovative solutions to the GCO offering.     

A bit about you…  

You'll be comfortable supporting the Assistant Director Legal, Equity and Joint Ventures with complex issues. You will be proficient in providing professional services in relation to all aspects of the Homes and Communities Agency's remit and provide legal advice and support to the Agency's Investments Products and Markets function and other functions/programmes from time to time.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by your specialist legal knowledge.

You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.   As an experienced legal professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
