Working with our Senior Business Manager, you will provide support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the senior leadership team in meeting the directorate's business plan and the wider Agency's strategic objectives. You will be joining our small but experienced team, who are committed to making positive changes in how we operate.

The directorate is the operational engine room of Homes England, supporting frontline delivery. We work together, and across the Agency, to build capability and capacity to drive an effective and efficient operation. Our colleagues are based across all locations in Homes England, ensuring we are embedded and available across all functions and driving the delivery of a consistent Homes England culture.
You will possess a wide range of expertise and be responsible for a variety of activities, including recruitment, budgeting, governance, contract management, procurement, and colleague communications. As an excellent project manager, you will also be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and contributing to the delivery of several directorate change projects that will influence and enable how the directorate contributes to the Agency's strategic objectives, KPIs, and PIs.
As an excellent networker and communicator, you will be an important component in linking the directorate with other functions. You will build close collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within the Agency to help shape future operations.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level, and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an enabling team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
In order to be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate that you can operate in a fast-changing and dynamic environment, as well as demonstrating experience in optimizing workforce capability, ensuring fair and transparent approaches to talent management and resourcing decisions that promote diversity and inclusion. You will also possess a good understanding of contract management and procurement in a government agency and be able to provide evidence of how you have developed robust and efficient corporate governance that is supported by clear and easy-to-understand structures.
